Do you have children in the public school system? Did you know they are being taught that Darwin is Fact and NOT A THEORY! You need Science Vs. Religion in your personal library to help teach your children the TRUTH!
As a physician, the scientist in me had trouble believing in the existence of God. I was an agnostic.
This book is an accumulation of my studies over the years to see if I could
prove the existence of God. I had to find IF I should believe in God. The
scientist side of me insisted on discovering if there were logical reasons to
believe in God. In my book, you will learn that I have found those reasons
for accepting God.
I wrote Science Vs. Religion to show how the scientific discoveries of the past 150 years prove that God exists beyond a reasonable doubt. Our universe was carefully designed to allow life and human development. As you can see from the book cover, I am sure God exists but I realize that no one can prove God absolutely. Our society is divided over the theory of evolution- how/when life began. This controversy has entered our schools, religious teaching and politics. My point of view is from extensive research into the science of cosmology and Darwin's Theory of Evolution, but the reference material comes from all sides of the argument. If you need them, my references provide plenty of material for you do your own searching in every direction possible. Make up your own mind. After 15 years of study, I am very satisfied with what I believe and finally, I believe in God and have faith in God.
If you already accept God, the scientific review in this book will only strengthen that faith. Faith in God is currently under attack in this country by secular scientists and secularists. This book answers them.
David wrote Science Vs Religion after many years of researching the existence of God. . It gives tons of references that would be ideal if anyone is researching this topic or is just interested. He has many reviews that you can find on his website: www.sciencevsreligion.net I personally thought these two reviews said it all:
“Turell said he writes for those who trust in the Bible for their explanations of life, and he writes for people who question or deny God’s existence. He strives to create a bridge for these groups and everyone in between.”
Flori Meeks, Houston Chronicle
Although he grew up as a believing Jew, when
he went to medical school Turell, now a retired physician, came to believe that
science would eventually provide all the answers to questions about life and the
universe. Over the years, he came to recognize that religious faith and
scientific teaching are compatible and that many of the discoveries of modern
science actually enhance faith. His book aims to persuade people that modern
science can be used to support a belief in God. Among his topics are the Big
Bang, evolution, and near-death experiences. The value of the book lies in
Turell's summarizing many of the arguments of other authors on both sides of the
issues, as presented in books, articles, and even web sites, in a way that does
them justice. More serious readers will want to consult the works of the authors
Turell draws from, such as Stephen Jay Gould and Paul Davies, but this is a good
starting point for someone looking for a popular presentation of the discussion
on a personal level.
